Her father was Otto Frank, her mother Edith Frank, and her older sister Margot Frank. In 1939 when Anne Frank was 10 years old, when WWII began. When Nazis kept invading and capturing Jews Anne and her family went in hiding for 761 days.

Over time a small family named the Van Pels came with their son which Anne Frank fell in love with and a man named Fritz Pfeffer. They were all caught on August 4th 1944 and only Otto Frank survived.

She left a huge impact on society and was a symbol of the Holocaust. Her father found her journal that she wrote when they were hiding and in 1947 he published Anne’s diary. He did this because he knew that Anne always wanted to be a writer so he made her dream come true. Today we still look up to her and still read her diary.
