         <title>Mid-Project Speed Critique Formative Assessment</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Students are set up in a "speed dating" style. Students have to talk about each other's projects and give critques and feedback. They then move along in the rotation.</p><p>Setting:</p><ul><li><p>Art room</p></li></ul><p>Stakeholders:</p><ul><li><p>Students - able to give and receive feedback</p></li><li><p>Teacher - feedback is not solely from teacher, teacher is guiding the speed critique. </p></li></ul><p>Purpose:</p><ul><li><p>The purpose is to gain feedback in the middle of a project to gain advice and see what they should maybe change and what is going well. </p></li></ul><p>Real-world example: </p><ul><li><p>Ceramics class - ceramic critique</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Purpose of assessment is to evaluate understanding in students and use that information to guide further instruction or strategies.</p><p><br/></p><p>Example: Caroline works in a Montessori school with 2 year olds and used developmental screening based on each individual child age to asses in 6 different areas: Cognitive, physical development (large and fine motor skills), language development, social, self help skills, emotional. This information is used to track progress and allow them to move forward to next goals for their age group and prepare students for future.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) is a series of brief, timed assessments used to screen and monitor the development of early literacy skills in students. Students are given one minute to show competency in these domains: oral reading fluency, letter naming, phonemic awareness, nonsense word fluency, and reading comprehension. Students are assessed three times a year (beginning, middle, end).</p>]]></description>
