- supplemental teaching which allows one teacher to work with students at their expected grade level, while the other teacher works with those students who need the information and/or materials extended or remediated.
- alternative (differentiated) teaching provides two different approaches to teaching the same information.  The learning outcome is the same for all students however the instructional methodology is different

I think I would try and incorporate both. There are times when some students need more exposure to a certain lessons or concept, which would be a perfect time to utilize supplemental teaching. It allows us to move forward for the students who are already up to par and help those who are still in need.
