North Ireland doesn´t celebrates Saint Patrick’s day because they doesn’t follow catholic religion.
In Asia, countries like Japan, Korea or Malasya celebrates this day.
In Canada and United States is not a legal holiday, but Saint Patrick's day is very popular in North America.
In South America, the most famous place where it’s celebrated Saint Patrick’s day is Argentina (specially in Buenos Aires), because of the high number of people from Ireland.

 However, over time, many of the parades have become more akin to a carnival. More effort is made to use the Irish language, especially in Ireland, where the week of St Patrick's Day is "Irish language week". Recently, famous landmarks have been lit up in green on St Patrick's Day.
Christians may also attend church services, and the Lenten restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol are lifted for the day.
