Nikola attended school in a one room school house until he was 12 years old. He then had to help with family finances, so he began farming and doing odd jobs for local residents.
Nikola married Fern and they had 5 children. Nikola wanted to attend college and was finally accepted into school in Boston in 1901, where he earned a degree in engineering. The first contribution  was his discovery of the light bulb. Nikola Tesla discovered alternating current which was revolutionary for the world with electricity. Factories and homes could now use current that would flow from a source into the homes.
