-> Snapdeal relaunched with the new brand identity Unbox Zindagi (“Unbox Life”) to change consumers’ perception of its brand (and the category) from “discount-based and transactional” to “in-step with and actively fulfilling consumers’ aspirations”. The campaign started on September 20, 2016 in anticipation of October’s festive Diwali season and lasted until November 15, 2016.
-> Partnering with Sokrati India and Facebook, Snapdeal adopted a full-funnel marketing approach, running a brand awareness campaign followed by a comprehensive, 3-phase performance campaign to guide customers along the path from initially hearing about the brand’s new look to installing the mobile app and making purchases.
-> To learn what actions people took on its website during the performance campaign, Snapdeal installed the Facebook pixel. It then used the data gathered to re-target website visitors, showing them dynamic ads that displayed images of the products they’d browsed.
-> To reach a wider audience, Snapdeal used its customer relationship management (CRM) database to create a Custom Audience of its highest-value customers. It then created lookalike audiences to find more people who share key characteristics with them.
-> Snapdeal also used reach and frequency buying to ensure it served ads to its target audience the optimal number of times. The retailer tracked campaign results using conversion lift measurement and a Facebook brand lift study.
