I liked the fact that they incorporated a singer and it sounded beautiful when the trumpet and vocalist performed together. The only drawback for me was that it was a little long but that’s understandable for a concert. I loved how the trumpet player made jokes and gave us a background on the trumpets he was using and the pieces he was playing. It felt very personable when he engaged with the audience I felt like he really took us on a journey. There were even times when he was playing that I got lost in the pieces and they were actually telling a story. There was one specific piece, although I don’t remember the name of it I do know that he stated that he was going to play the trumpet to take the place of another soprano voice part.
