You will receive your personal health insurance card. The passport photo clearly identifies the insurant, so the card should always be carried.
It is needed whenever you see a doctor or go to the hospital. The fees are directly settled via the card.

We can offer you English speaking customer assistance, specialist doctors available for personal phone consultations and additional information e.g. English speaking doctors in your near)
 
  • TK-App
 
You can upload/download documents for your university. Furthermore you can send us your sick leaves and you have a digital mailbox. Moreover you can use our appointment service for finding an appointment at a doctor.
 
If you are older than 30, you have to be private health insured.

daka Berlin is a non-profit organisation that provides students with financial support by granting student loans quickly and relatively easily, regardless of age, BAföG entitlement, income, nationality and semesters of study.

Student loans with daka

  • are 100 to 750 euros per month

  • run for a maximum of 48 months

  • and up to a maximum of 27,000 euros in total

  • with a fixed interest rate of 3.95% p.a. in the 1st + 2nd year, 4.95% from the 3rd year onwards

  • and no hidden costs.

The requirements for a loan are

  • Enrolment at a member university (true for HTW Berlin from 1 October 2024)

  • 1 to 2 guarantors: 18-60 years of age, permanent residence in Germany, permanent employment in Germany, net income of at least 1,450 euros/month
