My students are struggling a lot with letter sound and recognition. In order to help them, I would integrate interventions through apps like boom cards for them to work on letters and sounds. I would also use the option of the program Osmo if it was available to me. This has students physically pick out a letter tile and match it to the sounds, missing letter, etc.

Recommendation from reading specialist and coach. I really enjoy using MyOn. The student is struggling with fluency and comprehension. With MyOn, students are able to read independently or have the book read to them. Teachers are also able to select text based on lexile levels that can assist the students with reading text based on their capabilities without struggling or getting frustrated.

I have a student that is struggling with fluent reading. I think using a text to speech audio recording tool could help him practice his fluency. Furthermore, I would also recommend that this student use Epic! read alouds or Mackinvia/Myon audiobooks to read aloud as he follows along in the text. This could assist the student in hearing the words being read fluently and could aid in his comprehension and fluency practice when reading independently.

These students are struggling readers and I believe they would greatly benefit from the use of high interest, low readability books. One tool that can be used with these books is Snap and read. This will assist the students with words or sections of text that they have difficulty reading themselves. Snap and read is an extension that can be added to the chrome books.
.

I really liked the idea of using text to speech tools in the classroom. This could be a great tool to use for English Language Learners, struggling readers, or students with disabilities. However, all students could benefit from it because it could help increase reading speeds and improve comprehension. This could also be a great tool for vocabulary expansion.

Raz Kids is also a good resource, as it has online books ranging from levels A-Z and comprehension quizzes at the end

When you can’t give your struggling student adequate attention, this program can take over for you. It listens to the student while they read orally and gives assistance when needed and feedback when the assignment is completed.
