How it Lead to the Deaths of Many:

Trench warefare was a very dangerous to soldiers, and didn't accomplish that much in a war scenerio other than the deaths of many. When an attack ocurred, which was pretty rare since it was hard for an enemy to make it all the way across the no man zone in the middle, massive amounts of deaths would occur because there was so way to escape if you were in a trench and because the trenches were so tight. People in trenches were also swamped with water when it rained, so much so that many even drowned, and the water brought giant rats which then brought disease and death.

Strategies of the Trenches:

Strategy was not seen in full affect in the trenches. Both sides would camp out for days, neither moving forward into the others therritory or back. They sat, with the occassional brave run across no mans zone which usualy ended badly. At a certain time of a certain day, everyone in the trench from one side would run out and try to attack the enemy, but often had to retreat because they were mainly shot down with the enemies machine guns before even getting close. No land was gained, nothing in the strategy of war was really exectued, making the whole thing basically a waste of good soldiers lives
