How Would I recommend Using Kahoot?

I think this Tool is best used for smaller groups of 10 people or less (you can have more if you team up) I say smaller groups because then there are no wifi issues. but if you have great wifi then you can absolutely play in large groups. I would use this as a fun way to quiz yourself on the information you need to learn. This is also a great platform to use if you want to have a trivia night with friends. But in schools this is a great platform for teachers to use the day before a test! it allows kids to quiz themselves in a fun way that makes the material feel more like a game and less like an assignment!

Evaluation Of Kahoot Using Gagne's 9 Events Of Instruction

Based off of Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction I would say Kahoot is a great platform to use in classrooms! I will go through each of the nine events and explain how kahoot supports it.
1. Gain Attention - Kahoot is a game. so when introduced to a class students are automatically excited because it us a game quiz rather than a normal boring paper quiz.
2. Inform learners of objectives - Kahoot is an easy game and there are instructions on the website that can be read to the class. this will inform the learner of the objective of the game.
3. Stimulate recall of prior learning - this game is a quiz game. by answeingthe questions of the game students are forced to recall what they knew about the subject or theme of the Kahoot game that was created by the teacher (host)
4. Present the content - Kahoot presents the content in a fun way by making the test a competitive game! it makes studying seem more like a game rather than schoolwork.
5. Provide learning Guidance - this game provides earning guidance because students can see what questions they know and what questions they don't. and since there are no true grades involved students have a no pressure way t test their true knowledge.
6. Elicit performance - this game allows kids to perform or show their knowledge by answering the questions created by the host. it brings out students competitive side and makes them want to do as best as they can since its a fun game.
7. Provide Feedback - this game provides feedback by showing the correct answer and keeping score of how well you are doing in the game. this feedback tells students if they are mastering the skills in the lesson or not.
8. Assess Performance - as mentioned above kahoot keeps track of your score. this is an assessment of your performance in the game. the teacher or student can use this to determine if they have mastered the lesson.
9. Enhance Retention - this game causes you to recall knowledge. the more you recall something the better it sticks in your mind. playing this game helps with retention because it forces the students to recall what they have learned to answer the questions correctly.
