This is MCVA's attendance policy that is given to each parent the first week of school and its placed inside their child's MCVA parent-school communication folder.

MCVA Team: The administration is listening to what you have been saying--and as such, we have been looking for better ways to communicate and disseminate information internally and externally. With that, we have joined the Padlet Community! MCVA has created a Padlet company account. This type of account will give each of you access to join Padlet at NO cost to you. We simply ask that over the next week or so, our team members please peruse, use, and give us feedback in our discussion board. Next week, an instructional interactive video (mini lesson) on "How do I use Padlet?" will be sent to each of you.

Our leave policies include both sick leave and vacation time. Sick leave is granted in accordance with state guidelines and vacation time accrues monthly. Always inform the administration in advance if you need to take time off. Always refer to ur employee manual (click on link above)

Safety Protocols

Safety is our top priority. We follow all state-mandated safety protocols, including regular fire drills and safety training sessions. There is always a qualified first-aid team member on site during school hours. MCVA hosts an annul First Aid and CPR course every spring.

Curriculum planning is a collaborative effort. Teachers are encouraged to bring creative ideas to Ms Mejia who creates and develops our engaging lesson plans. We also provide resources for curriculum development.

Emergency Procedures

In the event of an emergency, follow the outlined procedures in the MCVA employee manual. This includes evacuation plans, lockdown procedures, and how to contact emergency services. Also, located in each classroom is a map of our Primary and Alternate fire escape route. Your safety and the safety of our children are paramount.

Dress Code

Our dress code is simple, professional, practical and provided to you at NO-COST. Since comfortable attire is most suitable for interacting with children and performing tasks such as arts and crafts or playground supervision, our uniform policy is comfortable. When in doubt, consult the employee manual (which will now be posted on Padlet.)

Monday - Thursday: Black pants ( stretchy pants allowed) with MCVA polo

Friday's: Jeans with MCVA tshirt

Summer time: Mid-thigh shorts allowed
