The dream of Lennie's that we know of in the in the story is his dream to open up a farm with George and also care for colorful bunnies. An example of this is "OK. Someday--we're gonna get the jack together and we're gonna have a little house and a couple of acres an'a cow and some pigs and---", and " have rabbits." He almost memorizes the idea of him and George getting a place of their own because it's a fairly simple dream yet unrealistic. This is because they're poor and in the middle of the Great Depression and this shows he doesn't think very much.

A song that represents Lennie's philosophy on life is " Don't Worry Be Happy." The title alone symbolizes his outlook because Lennie isn't smart enough to worry about much and he surely is happy most of the time. It really represents his carelessness in life and what he thinks about everything.

There have only been a few major moments that we know of that Lennie has had in the novel. One of these is when he grabbed the girls dress in Weed to see what it felt like and the other is when he killed the mouse that he kept in his pocket on accident. In the text it says " Jus' wanted to feel that girl's dress-jus' wanted to pet it like it was a mouse-", another one is " That mouse ain't fresh, Lennie; and besides, you've broke it pettin' it." These are pretty major moments for him because it shows us pretty clearly that he is extremely kind and doesn't mean any harm on anyone.

In the book characters think and say things similar to what we say about Lennie. These being he is very big and dumb. Some examples are " A big guy like you," " You ain't got no sense enough to find nothing to eat", and "Oh! I ain't saying he's bright." These are all examples of how other characters perceive Lennie, mostly from the point of view of George. The common impression is of how big and dumb he is.

Lennie doesn't really share any type of philosophy to anyone during the book so far, as he probably can't understand the concept too well. The closest to it is his idea to go get a farm with George for which I have a quote in one of my other boxes.

A common conflict Lennie gets tangled into is him trying to catch and stop his childish ways from happening. He definitely tries to not do childish things through listening to George but he often fails due to forgetting. Such as " Strong as a bull..Lennie dropped his head in shame at having forgotten." This is when George told his not to talk but he did anyways because he forgot.

Lennie most likely loves George although there isn't much evidence for this, but it is likely since George sticks with him and cares for him. He definitely loves animals because he tried to keep a mouse in the beginning and later gets a puppy that he is obsessed with. One quote being " I could pet it with my thumb while we walked along." This is a quote from Lennie and it shows us he cares for the mouse and wants to hold it.

One thing Lennie most likely doesn't like about himself is his inability to listen and obey what George says to do. Some evidence for it is in the conflicts box when he forgot to be quiet and dropped his head in shame. This shows that he wants to listen but often forgets or can't understand why.

The playful side of Lennie is extremely obvious and one example is " Lennie held the pup close to his chest while hunched over in the corner." This is one of many examples of how Lennie has fun. One of his hobbies is killing mice on accident as well.
