         <description><![CDATA[<p>Crowded tenements -  These crowded tenements were run down and really crowded, families had few places to turn. Most of the time these tenements were also poorly designed and unsafe.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sanitation issues - The building that the people in poverty lived in had terrible sanitation people often got diseases. These building lacked of running water and also had sewage and garbage disposal issues.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Education problems - Children in poverty had limited access to education they also had big education gaps from other children, hindering their academic success these students in poverty are facing an inequality</p><p><br></p><p>Healthcare issues - Healthcare is very expensive so children in poverty have a ruff time affording insurance, medications, and care this issue is making these children's lives shorter.</p>]]></description>

However people in poverty are in much better places now that are more safe. Health care is still really hard for people in poverty to get because of its expense but is getting better.</p>]]></description>

These photos had also exposed the condition to the lower class to the wealthier citizens. This had inspired the wealthier citizens to help.</p>]]></description>

Since 2000 the gates foundation has given away over 50 Billion dollars in support to people in poverty. This improved healthcare and education.</p><p><br/></p><p>Ban Ki Moon - During Bans time as a secretary general Ban ki tried to create the SDG1 (sustainable development goals) which the first goal was to end poverty.</p>]]></description>
