         <description><![CDATA[<div>Has similar steps to mitosis but with two sets of divisions. The first results in two cells that each have two sets of chromosomes, liken mitosis. The second creates four cells that each contain one set of chromosomes, because the genetic into isn't copied twice. Chromosomes cross over a point called chiasma. At each chiasma the chromosomes break and rejoin, trading some of their genes. This recombination results in genetic variation. </div>]]></description>
