These age ranges typically have children, work full time and have less time and motivation into preparing a meal for the family.
My targeted audience will then stem from the closeted competitive friends of these families who will rush to buy one before they do.
The age ranges 50 years and above, more-so in the female group, will be drawn to it because they've come to a point where they've spent enough time worrying about the domestic house duties and want more time to focus on themselves and want things to be easier.

Being very basic in my scenery and simple in dialog, I want people to focus on my product and what the characters or narrated voice is saying.
In this day in age, people are very judgemental and care more bout what other people are doing or have, and I want my audience to feel as though they are watching some sort of reality segment. A character will be judging their neighbour on how they are manually cutting a roast and commenting about it. I want the audience to feel like the neighbour. They're being judged for not having the Lazy-Laser.

I want the feel to be nostalgic, set in the 1940's or 1950s. I want people to feel entertained by what they see and hear. Initial intrigued thoughts will come from the viewers because seeing something set in that era but have relevance in the millennium will have their brains questioning how this product is being advertised. Back in the 40's and 50's, household appliances were booming and becoming more advanced. I want the viewers to feel the same, and how it was for our grandparents when we see technology advance.
I want to make people feel lazy for not having this latest feature in their home. For instance, a V.O will state toward the end "We work all day. Why come home and work more? Don't be like Gladys, let laser-cut do it for you". Making people feel targeted in a negative way but needing "to keep up with the Jones'" attitude.

Attention: I will grab my audiences attention with somebody so desperately trying to cut a roast with the cliché comical actions of the late night home shopping acting, and it all just ends in disaster. Then introducing another calm, collected and smiling character who has just had her roast custom cut by the laser cutting oven. Then comparing their easy lifestyle to the challenging one of someone who does not have this product.

Interest: I am going to make this completely relatable to everyone who has to prepare a meal for the family. Socially speaking, the females have statistically been the ones more prominent in this area in the yester years, and that's where me setting it back in the 40's and 50's, everyone will be able to relate. Given how far we have come since those days, both men and women share the cooking and prepare the family meals, so this product is going to grab the interest of almost everyone.

Desire: The desire of my targeted audience would start off light hearted. They can all relate to the complications they have had in the past with family BBQ's, burnt roasts in the oven, arguments and Christmas and family gatherings. The desire to want this product will be to make their life a lot easier. My competitive audience will want to upstage their friends and family and show off at functions. My non competitive audience will want the product for access of ease. They will see it's just an oven but the advantage of having it cut the meat for you will win them over.

Action: After the viewers have seen the promotional video, they will all want to get online just to research it and see any videos of it in action. They will read all about the reviews of anybody else that have bought one. They will share the video or the product details with their friends and simply must go into the nearest store to at least have a look at it and investigate it even further.

This promotional video is set in the 1940’s - 1950’s when home appliances, especially the conventional oven was introduced better each time a new one came out. My video will be set in black and white with someone pulling their ready to cut roast out of the oven and trying to cut the perfect slices of meat.

We’ve all seen those cheesy, over dramatized home shopping commercials, and I want this person cutting the roast in a very similar way without it being too corny.

We start with a neighbourhood gathering for the Sunday afternoon roast. This person is being watched by their neighbours or friends (Betsy and Martha) who are judging them while looking out the window over to the difficult cutting process. They say to each other “Look at poor Gladys over there will you, Betsy. Cutting her meat with that terribly blunt knife” A voice over will be heard saying “You work hard all day for your boss just to put food on the table. Why come home and work harder to put that food in your mouth?” Martha continues to say “My, she should have already installed the Lazy-laser like I have”

The voice over is then heard saying “We've taken the stress out of your daily life, combined it with advanced space technology and brought it home for you and your family to enjoy! Don't be lazy. Let Lazy-Laser be lazy for you!”

In the current world we live in, judging everything and everyone seems to be embedded and this is where the audience of all types will be fixed on what is happening in the video. They will want to know the outcome of the judgement, and hope they don’t fall into the same category as Gladys.

The camera will then cut to a perfectly cut roast presented so neat and tidy on a plate that Martha had her oven prepare for her earlier. Betsy admires the perfectly sliced meat as Martha boastingly smiles back at her. The camera will then cut to the face of the oven and see laser beams moving around through the glass door of the oven. This is where everyone will get an idea of how it works.

When the meat is finally cooked and cut perfectly, Martha and Betsy are seen walking over to Gladys’ house and presenting the roast to everybody’s envy, all while Gladys is still cutting away but this time in jealousy and embarrassment.
