Psychotherapy is the treatment used by trained professionals who use psychological techniques to help a person overcome psychological difficulties and disorders. This treatment in psychology is commonly known as therapy, counseling, and talk therapy. It is therapeutically used to de-stress, talk about challenges. It helps people to overcome and cope with emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. When medically breaking down the word psychotherapy, "psycho" comes from the Greek language meaning "soul or mind." Therapy is the process of healing. When putting the two together, psychotherapy is the process of healing the soul and mind, and relates to the well being of mental health.
