Village
When I think of a village the first thing which comes to my mind is agriculture, trees, farmers, the mud roads and the greenery everywhere. This is because I have seen villages mostly only in movies and they show us only the good part of it. But in most remote villages there is still no electricity and people don’t have proper houses for their living. Also the farmers are mainly dependent on rain for their crop yield because of water scarcity and the farmer’s suicides are increasing every year. There are a lot of problems to be addressed but I think the basic problem is electricity. . So I think solar energy can be used as a solution for this electricity problem. Because in the future solar energy is going to play a very vital role. If we can install solar panels in each house it would be of immense use to them, but the cost is very high. There lies the challenge for us to design and develop in such a manner that the cost is economical and can be afforded by everyone. Most farmers think the modern irrigation techniques such as drip and sprinklers require high cost and still are doing everything manually. We should bring awareness about this to them. Using bio fertilisers for agriculture. Bringing to their attention various schemes offered by the government. Providing support for them through Ngo’s. These are some of the things which always comes to my mind when I think of a village.. Moreover a village is a beautiful place and when we get to know the people there it is a wonderful experience...

Villages are the backbone of our country and they should treated with utmost importance as they provide us with the basic need of food without which we will forever be in hands of foreign nations. A village consists of closely knit communities whose primary occupation is agriculture and animal husbandry. Their lifestyle is extremely simple with thatched roof houses and huts with limited electrical power supply and water supply. Though they have limited access to modern amenities the quality of living is excellent as they are content with what they have at hand. With progress in transportation systems of our country access to our villages have improved dramatically. Now the only goal is to improve education and medical care in these remote villages.
