It was such a good day. We started the day with a pretty much hectic activity. It is kinda warming-up . We applied it via actionbound. I loved it and decided to copy it in my classes. We met our lovely trainors named Burcu and Swany. They are so congenial. We did lots of different activities such as role plays, exchanging views, listen and write in many ways. I find it very satisfying even it's just my 1st day. Hope it goes on like this.

Today we focused mainly on listening skill and characteristics of young learners. We started our day with drawing name activity and went on with telephone line activity. They were pretty fun. They could be used as ice breaker or warm up. They push the learners for speaking and by routating they can have a chance of enlarging their point of view amd it gets more enjoyable with another partner. We passed to some poster activity that helps us to express our ideas about PDCs. We tried to have some matching between PDC and the posters. Afterwards we observed some picture and related them with young learners' learning processes. We also talked about the possible problems and got some solutions in routating groups as well. We gave attention receptive and productive part through the end. We made some kinda lesson plan regarding some points such as setting up context, language, showing understanding, presenting and producing. We wrote them all down in groups and pasted them on the different parts on the walls. Each group looked through these plans in turns and evaluated them with sticker notes. These all help us facilitators to become more aware of what we will do and how we will do exactly. We learned the learning objectives for each activity which is my favorite because this is necessary for planning our ways. I thought I had so satisfying training today like the first one. I'll be waiting for the nexts. Thank you English Together team!

Okay we were on the 3rd day of our journey today. It was such an active one too. We focused on oral skills and lesson plans in detailed way. We started the day catching the common things with our classmates. We made comments on menti.com, we analized and adapted some dialogues regarding to some typical problems of students. We did it by using checklist which really improved me. Because i believed learning with samples or knowing how to usw checklist is important in teaching. The technics about dialogues really caught my attention such as back chaining, child- friendly atmosphere, social language words, simplified and clarified contexts. We played hidden word game in our groups and I think it really got us focused to the specific word out of a whole story. Through the end we rearranged a sample lesson plan according to our students and exhibited them like gallery walk. This also made me more prepared for my PDCs in the future, like all the other activities we have gone through so far. Thanks for that joyful and fruitful day we had!

Hello my journal! Today we focused on mostly reading skill. We started the day with swap chair activity. Binglish activity came after. And we did think-pair-share activity on before and while reading stages. Afterwards, we arrenged a lesson olan regarding before and while reading by using some warm ups and sample questions for the sts. Through the end, we made a shared reading activity that was my fav one definitely! I really think both my PLC groups and my own primary school sts are going to love this activity. We played ''word mask'' activity after we read our story. That was also such a fun and motivating one. I suppose that shared reading is quite suitable for children learning L2. Because both the teacher and student are involved. So, this will create a child friendly atmosphere and feel them more comfortable. I really think shared reading is the most catchy part of the day. I feel happy to pace much further today. Thank y'all the class 2😊

Hello! Today we mostly focused on young learners' spelling. And then we tried to focused on classroom management as well. As a reflection yes it's really challenging for teacher to make a balance between children's behaviour and acceptable behaviour. Because if teacher goes strict then it may create a bad effect on child or if teacher goes permissive then she may have lose of control. To make this balance correctly, both the students and the teacher have to know each other well. They should also predict their behaviours maybe. Getting know the traits, personality of children can be so helpful. This thing is the same for the students too. So it will be the point I will mention on my PDC sessions definitely. Because, for an effective learning, there should be a classroom management. Bye!

Today we focused on classroom management again. Besides, we mentioned phonetics, settlers & stirrers and lastly assessment types. I definitely point the assessment types because its important to be aware of what is AoL and AfL. And we pointed it is also crucial that our test must include parts to evaluate if children's using the language effectively or not. I think assessment itself helps us to create an efficient learning outcomes. Thats why I will mention about this. Besides assessment, it is necessary to make an activity child friendly. We also drew a mind map on that point. I will take away this map to my PDCs. I suppose that map will help teachers to have much opinions about student-centered method. I believe adapting topics regarding of children will radiate quite a powerful effect. And about settlers and stirrers I will copy some activities from my training here to help my participant teachers getting balance in using these activities. For ex, how and when they can use settlers and stirrers. Plus, through the 6 days we had i had a lot of different warm up ideas. I myself really took huge liking of them and i will aplly these as much as possible on both my own and PDC classes. Thats a wrap today. Bye now!

Hello! We learnt and gave some samples on types of assessment. I think assessment is very important item of both learning and teaching. Applying the right assessment type has to be done for efficient lesrning. Previously i never thought that much type could be but now I feel more qualified after my training. I think informal assessments are really efficient ones because they are formative and informative. There are mant chances to copy to our classes and PDC sessions. In training we adapt a unit and turns it into informal assessment and by this way we also learnt the some special techniques. Some of them are called 3 2 1 and traffic light about which i had no idea or never used before. When we used it in training o got enlighted and decided to take those 2 away my PDCs and own classes. I learnt more about the ones i have no idea or I havent used before. To sum up, Ive learnt different kinds of assessment with their related samples. Each sample was different as well. This also may help me to produce varios ideas on my classes and PDCs. Thanks for today!
