Although it would be interesting to understand everyone's true motive, that information should be with the person themself. People are allowed to be private, reading minds would be intrusive.

Everyone acts like they want to know what someone is thinking, but ultimately, if everyone knew what everyone was thinking, everyone's opinions of people would change. Thoughts are sometimes not easily  controlled by the thinker and I would like to base my opinion of someone based on the thoughts they choose to share.
