The textbook highlights the importance by saying, "As members of a society, it is our responsibility to work collaboratively to help improve personal, family and community health," (4). It would be selfish of us to take advantages of the positive things in our communities and not give back as well. One way we can do this is, as mentioned in the book, "Interacting and cooperating with other adults encourages you to see the world in different ways," (4). We can reach out to older ones in the community to get a new perspective on it and it wold make them happy to see younger ones taking an interest in them. The book also mentions, "you could use the cooking skills you learned at home at a soup kitchen," (5). By taking the skills we have already developed and using them to help others will have a positive impact on our community's health and happiness. We can always yes to doing something that is within our capabilities to help our communities.

Music is a great form of communication in my opinion. I usually just play guitar for myself and friends but I like learning older songs and playing them for some of the older ones I know just to make them happy! It's a great way to show them I care. it always seems to make them happier and just by increasing your happiness level you decrease the risk of depression and other health related issues. It also increases my joy.
