We were supposed to make a couple patterns. I learned that making an intricate pattern in the one square after duplicating it made it super hard to color. Also getting the lines to connect was difficult at first.

Donut Design

The project was to design donuts with drop shadows. I learned how to use the warp tool to type text and add drop shadow to our designs.

Logo Parody

We had to change logos from the original and make something unique. I learned how to take photos from the internet and put them into photoshop. I also learned how to use the direct object selection tool.

We had to take our initials and make different designs with them. I learned how different fonts can change the whole design of a logo, and how colors work together.

The project was to make posters for the Roundtable Speaker Series. I learned how the proper spacing can really shape a design, and how colors pop out to people.

Movie Poster Parody

We had to make a movie poster parody. We could not use any of the original elements of the movie poster, and had to find our own fonts.

Famous Art Parody

This project was just like the movie poster parody, but I learned how to make the paintings more textured. I also learned how to change the colors of just one object to make it blend in.

KHS Wall Decal

This project requirements were to make a wall decal with a white out line. I learned how to incorporate colors into a fun design that was simple but still caught someone's attention.

DIY Week

This was DIY week and I wanted to make something look like it was glowing. After starting the tutorial I realized how cool the ball would look on fire, so I mixed two tutorials into one picture.

I had a lot of fun in this class. Some of my favorite projects were the t shirt designs and the social media posts projects. I liked working with real clients, and having a bit of creative freedom with some guidelines. This class has shown me how much effort and work is put into designing things like logos and editing photos. Once getting the hand of photoshop I actually liked it, and might continue to use it further on. It is a practical skill that can be useful in the future, and I am glad I had the opportunity to learn. I would recommend the class to anyone who is interested.
