We began our usrah with a brief and fun taaruf session. I've got to know so many amazing people from all around Malaysia. It made me think that we were actually brought together to gain insightful knowledge through this wonderful usrah we'll be having every week. How exciting! I genuinely adore our facilitator. Her bright and bubbly personality, along with her amazingly talented storytelling skills makes our usrah super engaging and fun to learn!

So our very first lesson we learned was about 'Manners of online class". It's simple but a very important aspect of online learning. A few points I've learned from this lesson included:

Try to always keep your camera open during lectures.

Always respond whenever you're asked.

Stay focused throughout the class.

Mute your microphone so you wouldn't disturb other students with your background noise.

Always thank the lecturer after class ends.

Well that's all from me this week! Bye!

Overview:

We had a brief outline of roleplay

We learned about Hadith Jibril

We played a quiz on quizzes about Islam, Iman and ihsan.

On this week's session, we learned about Hadith Jibril which is also known as, Ummu Sunnah. This hadith is the second of the famous 40 hadiths of Imam Nawawi. This Hadith is so fascinating because it covers the 3 fundamentals of our religion. Islam, Iman and Ihsan.

Islam:
The Prophet S.A.W. explained that the first category consists of external actions, both speech
and conduct. The first external action is to testify that there is no deity save Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. The remaining acts, namely, regular prayer, regular alms, fasting in Ramadan, and Pilgrimage, all involve conduct that can be described as either involving the body, e.g., Salat and Sawm, or involving property, e.g., paying Zakat, or a composite of the two, e.g., Hajj.

Iman:
Technically, Iman is a firm belief or faith arising out of knowledge and conviction. Some scholars including Imam Abu Hanifah define Iman as “to be convinced with the inner heart, to affirm with the tongue and to carry out actions with various parts of the body.”
A man who knows and convinces beyond doubt in the unity of Allah S.W.T., His Laws and the Revealed Guidance is called Mu’min (Faithful). This faith will lead him to a life of
obedience and submission to the Will of God. One who lives this life of submission is known as Muslim. This should clearly bring home the fact that without Iman, no man can be a true Muslim. In a nutshell, a Mu’min is a Muslim, but not every Muslim is a Mu’min.

Ihsan:
In hadith Jibril, Ihsan is defined as to worship Allah as if you see him for, verily, even though you do not see Him, He surely sees you.
The Prophet S.A.W. explained that Ihsan is to worship Allah in this world in the manner appropriate for His presence and His direct observation [of His servant], as if the servant sees
Him with his heart, looking upon Him as he worships Him.
The second part of the Hadith of the Prophet S.A.W. explaining Ihsan is that “if you do not see Him, then He sees you.” Because it is very difficult to attain the level that allows you to worship Allah as though you see Him, the Prophet S.A.W. told us that we may seek to attain that level by means of our knowledge that He certainly sees us.

Well, that's all from me now. Thank you!

When Allah S.W.T. revealed
these divine Books, apart from al-Quran, He did not guarantee to preserve them. Without protecting and taking care of our environment we're putting so many lives at danger such as animals, plants and crops, and even our own. All of the ecosystems that make up our environment are deeply connected.

Quiz on Adab as a student:
https://quizizz.com/join?gc=26714878

Thank you!

This usrah session has been an amazing and wonderful time and I've gained much beneficial knowledge. Much has been learned and I thank Allah for granting me such knowledge through this usrah. Knowing how to treat parents excellently and treating neighbors with kindness has been an eye-opening reminder to me. Being aware of the concept of eschatology has been very insightful and I appreciate learning such concept.

This usrah is absolutley excellent and i have no complaints whatsoever. However, i am aware that in the e-portfolio criteria, we must include an improvement so i will only add this: Perhaps an addition of extra quizzes and games.
Nevertheless, this usrah is already perfect to me and i have enjoyed every moment of it.

Thank you to my dear facilitator, Qistina. You have always managed to brighten up my day whenever we have an usrah session. I pray that Allah will make things easy for you and make all your dreams come true.

And to everyone else too!

Thank you!
