Frank Ocean is an electronic pop producer who has influenced my production. His use of space and dynamics within his songs gives space for his vocals, in which all of Frank Ocean's Lyrics are personal. Frank ocean speaking on a personal level connects him with his audience, as he speaks on the topics of death, racism, emotion and struggle. Frank Ocean's use of synths are done in a fashion to make them sound naturalistic, almost like a voice on its own.

Gnarls Barkley is a alrternative/ soul group of 2 comprising of artists Cee Lo Green and DJ Danger Mouse. Their experimental style of music has influenced both my production, and my general sound of a song as I grew up listening to songs like 'Boogie Monster' and 'Crazy'. The variety of musical genres they produce have made my production more open to change within genre.

Upon the release of his latest album, channel ORANGE, Frank Ocean recently spoke about his decision to drop the digital version of the album first. The singer, who was featured on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s album, says that was inspired by their Watch the Throne album release strategy.

“I kinda wanted to mirror what Jay and Kanye did withWatch the Throne,” Ocean shared with BBC Radio 1. “Preventing the leak by staggering the digital and physical dates. My thing was, I wanted all the promotional elements to be– I don’t know if the word is ‘retroactive,’ but kind of follow the album with the videos and the tour and do everything after.
