Day 2:  
Student and adult read the same text simultaneously. (doesn't matter if student doesn't keep up, or gets words incorrect) .
Day 3: Student and adult take turns reading page/paragraph each. Student takes book home, reads to parents/carers.
Day 4: Student reads the text to adult.  During the day, reads to peers, and own teacher (if not the original helping adult).
Day 5: Post test (timed, with number of errors.  Celebrate improvement, no matter how small!
