No one in their community was supposed to lie, but his instructions told him different. The author is trying to make us see that Jonas has just received a big job, and that their perfect community even has its own little secrets that aren’t as perfect as everyone believes! This quote is important, because it shows us no matter how hard you try to live in a perfect world there's always something that isn’t perfect. There is no such thing as perfect! Just like in our world we have a prison for the people who break the law, but there is still always someone who  will, make the world not perfect!This passage had a significant impact on my thinking about our country not. I realized that everyday people walk around thinking our country is perfect. We may have more freedoms but we still have the same problems as other places such as stealing, killing, and hurting others. We aren’t perfect no town is.

Because it says memoires can be painfull adn good. Like memories of family member who is not in your life and you have happy memiores with them. Thinking about memories can be good and bad
"'But Sir,' Jonas suggested, 'since you have so much power –' The man corrected him. 'Honor,' he said firmly. 'I have great honor. So will you. But you will find that that is not the same is power'" (p. 84). That power cause great responbility. And honor means you do it for the people. That with the power of freedom u get to get your own house. ANd iwth honor u are hapy to do stuff for people.
