My favorite memory of elementary music was listening to a song, then using instruments to play some parts of the song, and then performing it in groups or as an individual in front of the class. Another great memory that I have was performing a concert made up of songs that we learned and practiced as a grade for the rest of the school and our parents. My least favorite memory was learning the technicalities such a music notes.

My favorite memory of elementary music was learning about the different patterns in music. The teacher would play a song and explain what the different patterns were, labeling them as A, B, and C. After listening to the song once, the students were then asked to hold up cards with A, B, or C when the music got to the corresponding section.
My least favorite memory of elementary music was also learning how to play the recorder. I didn't like the sound of the instrument, especially when students would play them while the teacher was trying to explain what was she wanted the students to play.

I really cannot recall how music class was for it was so long ago, but what I remember besides being in music class, was also taking another side music class which taught me how to play the violin. I loved playing the violin. I remember this one time we performed at this one place where all the schools from my district would perform our music. It was so neat to hear everyone play what they were taught.
I really don't have a least favorite memory of elementary music. I really enjoy learning about music!

This sparked my interest in learning more about classical music. We also put on a talent show every year that my music teacher produced and in 6th grade, you were able to try-out for the 6th grade musical. At some point in the year, our school would have access to electric pianos and each student would learn how play different songs on the piano.
My least favorite memory was learning how to read music. It was totally necessary, but very challenging!

While attending elementary school, I absolutely loved all the specials we were able to attend each week! Music was no exception. My favorite times in music were preparing for our school plays/musicals. Each grade would put on a show or play and we would prepare for the show months in advance. I loved to sing so these were fun times for me! I also loved working with the other classes in my grade. The bad memories I have from music were “recorder week”. I could never find my recorder from the year before and my mother always had to buy a new one for me. I also was not very good at playing the recorder so “recorder week” was not my favorite time. My music teacher was also fond of the “Stomp” musical group. My class loved the Stomp movie the first time we saw it but every time our music teacher had a sub we had to watch this movie. Having the same teacher from kindergarten to sixth grade, I easily saw the movie 15 times. This was another memory that I do not cherish.
SP

A favorite memory from elementary music was in 4th grade, we were required to learn all the state facts about Colorado and then our class would put on a play for our parents about what we learned. In music we then learned sddifferent songs about Colorado or songs written by people from Colorado, we also learned to square dance for the play which I remember being embarrassing but really funny. My least favorite memory would have to be the oftentimes our teacher would have us watch documentaries of different things associated with music that would last for many class periods, we weren't able to move around and actually experience the music for ourselves which would get boring for us.

I still remember it now, and we did a lot of fun activities with it, so I think it stuck. My least favorite memory was doing keyboard pianos. We experimented with lots of different instruments such as drums, keyboards and the recorder. We also sang a lot. My favorite memory was probably when I was in the elementary school choir in 5th and 6th grade. We sang so many fun songs and danced. We also got to preform in front of the whole school during the day and then our parents at night. My least favorite memory would definitely be having to learn and remember the different counts of all the notes and rests. It came in handy when I continued singing in choir throughout high school but as a kid, it was very boring

My favorite memory from elementary music class was when we would get to play at the assemblies for all of the younger students. It was a fun opportunity for the older kids because it was one of our first big kid experiences in school. We would practice all quarter long for this performance because the whole school was there to hear us. Another thing I really enjoyed was that this class was an opportunity for us to let loose and have fun, we weren't just sitting in a desk for hours. Our teacher encouraged interaction with other students and wanted us to have fun with the music we were playing. This class is also where I learned that I am far from perfect. Music was never my strong subject, but somehow I always looked forward to going to this class. My least favorite memory came my 4th grade year because our teacher would get very frustrated if we did not know the right song or music. This caused us students to really not enjoy this part of the week.

My favorite memory was when we would have programs for our parents. I loved watching all of us go from not knowing any of the songs to singing them out on the playground. It was so fun to see the whole program come together. My least favorite memory though from music in Elementary is when we would have to play the recorders. I was never good at playing the recorded and my parents would never buy me the “cool” colored recorder so I felt let out. But other than that time of year I always have fun in the class!

My favorite memory of elementary music was being able to sing and dance to all of our songs in the beginning of class. My music teacher was very creative and had a lot of space in her classroom for us to dance and move around. Looking back she did this to help us get all of our wiggles out before getting to the material we had to learn. My least favorite part was learning our church songs. I went to a catholic school and we had to review our songs before every Friday mass. This was enforced by the priest, but I don't think it was beneficial to us.
IF
