This week was absolutely perfect for me because we started a new unit which is called "STORIES". I like reading and writing stories so I thought it was going to be a good week. First of all we learnt lots of sayings&idioms which are really helpful while speaking English. The saying I liked the most was "What Goes Around Comes Around". It was also the name of a song that I've been listening for a long time. Last term we learnt a few idioms and this week when we learnt those sayings I understood that I really like learning these kinds of things .We did a spontaneous speaking activity which was really exciting because I thought that it was totally helpful for improving the speaking skill. Then, we learnt how to write stories and new words that are helpful and more attractive when writing stories like "crawl, sigh, whisper" Also we practiced the Multi-Word Verbs. About the grammar we learnt an important thing. Wish Clauses. At first I got confused but then I figured it out. If only I hadn't gotten confused because it took a bit to understand it clearly.
I think I'm doing well with English. I don't have difficulties when I'm studying. However I still have lots of things to learn. I believe I'm good at reading and writing because I try to write and read stories in English.
One last thing; I think we should write short stories about what we want. :)
So in another words it was a really good week :D

I was making a lot of mistakes in the beginning but my friends helped me improve my speaking skill and now I am making a lot less mistakes. While we were practicing, we used ESL Taboo and Random Word Generator. ESL Taboo is a wonderful app for improving speaking level. We created two teams and our aim was to reach 25 points. There was a real good competition. I described 12 words without any taboo in one minute. At that moment, I was over the moon because we won thanks to my scores.

Tuna, I think you might be the game brain of our class. You are fun and happy. I wish you would contribute more to the speaking tasks given that you are good at it. Also, we need more games like taboo. Let us know if you find more :)

I enjoyed this activity because it was easy and it took time. I have learned the another meaning of the word which appeared in quizz. It was "vet". I thought it was standing for "veteran" but actually its meaning appeared to be "investigate" or "searching" or something like that. I tried my best for taking my benefit from the activities and the wordy one was really useful for practicing my vocab. Now its lab hour and i'm watching cosmos and increasing the astronomic side of my brain. It'll be useful too for talking about it at some house party. Some blues and space chats, that is the meaning of a good party.

We learnt new grammar subject that usage of ‘if only’ and ‘wish’ although there was a little bit misunderstanding at the begining and I didn’t do but I enjoy with Seçkin Teacher’s telling a story activity with given words without preperation.

I don’t study English a lot but I care about achieving the tasks. I am bad at speaking and that’s why I took up watching TED Talks nowadays that I discovered from one of our task. I think I am good at grammar but I don’t know why I am, I haven’t any speacial study techniques. In general I suppose I’m successful in English but not enough. I must study more.

I have you learnt different things grammar/vocabulary sections.First of all,I studied vocabulary to pass proficiency exam. I realized that the words which I learn in class are similar with the words I studied in the other books.In the last term,it was difficult for me because I had to study final and midterm exams also I studied vocabulary in the proficiency exam. On the other hand, I strongly believe that, the grammar I learnt has been improved this term. It’s getting harder and harder. I think if I study regularly, I will be better than my current situation.
