I believe that when I am writing and reading  about topics I enjoy I tend to produce great work. On the other hand there are times I have struggled with writing papers because I did not understand what the paper required. I also understand a lot of my  academic writing and reading  contains analysis and a lot of research and facts. Like many  things I have been able to assimilate and adjust my writing to what is needed for my papers I have been assigned. So there hasn’t been a lot of wiggle room for creativity in my writing on the academic level. Overall I do believe that with my experience with academic writing I am becoming a bit more comfortable. As far as my reading  I enjoy reading so I think academic reading just allows me to gain more knowledge and insight on various topics.

I do recall when I first started learning to read I struggled which caused me to dread reading as a whole. Once I actually started getting the  process of reading down packed. I began to enjoy reading and would read any chance I could get. I always indulged in  book collections growing up and continued  to do so today. She always promoted  positive literacy learning in my life. I recall her alway having me do reading comprehension worksheets and making me read a book before bed every night. As well growing up I always witnessed my mother reading a book or a magazine. Also putting me into a reading camp during the summer  because I really enjoyed reading. I knew my passion was to teach English and not being an administrative assistant. The job was so draining and I was not happy.
