It’s a tiny fraction of a second that I need, but all those nanoseconds eventually add up, and now add back in the need for me to show you I understand and now I must also speak or write what I know...and by the time I’m ready to answer you’ve moved on to someone else or the bell has rung.

Have you noticed I’m dismally disorganized? Could I be ADHD? Sure, but maybe it’s because of 1) I’m usually the last to finish, the last to pack up, the last to get the agenda written, etc., 2) I try to be organized, but I have trouble remembering from day to day where exactly “organized” was yesterday, 3) because of my slower writing, I may only get part of the agenda, assignment, notes, or they may be so messy that they are difficult to understand, and therefore I miss important deadlines and information.
