 No, I think some might have pulled it off, but according to the video many tried and claimed to have made gold, but there was no consistency, so I don't think it is logical to assume that they all made gold. They could have made a metal that looked like gold...It would have been a bigger deal if they had all pulled it off. Their countries would have been wealthier and it would have changed and affected the whole population.
