In mathematics, I understand most of the lessons, but I sometimes struggle with more advanced topics or applying concepts to word problems. While I usually complete my homework on time, I occasionally rush through it, which leads to careless mistakes. My study habits could improve, as I tend to cram before tests instead of reviewing consistently. I also don’t always ask for help when I’m confused, even though I know it would help me understand better. During tests, I perform decently, but I lose marks due to small errors and questions that require deeper analysis. I’m motivated to improve because I know I’m capable of doing better and I want to feel more confident and prepared in class.

Specific
I want to improve my understanding of advanced math topics and reduce careless mistakes so I can earn an A grade in 3rd term mathematics.

Measurable
I will aim to score at least 90% on all quizzes, seatworks, and long tests. I will limit careless mistakes to no more than 2 per test and ask at least 1 question per week when I don’t understand something.

Attainable
I will review challenging topics for 30 minutes every other day, practice word problems 3 times a week, and double-check all my work on assignments and tests before submitting.

Relevant
Improving in math will help me feel more confident in class, strengthen my academic record, and prepare me for future subjects and possible college paths like architecture.

Time-bound
I will follow this routine consistently until the end of the 3rd term and track my progress weekly to stay on target.

The most challenging task I faced in the 3rd term was keeping track of homework and quiz announcements in mathematics. Many assignments were given without a clear due date or deadline, and sometimes they were collected randomly without prior notice. This made it difficult to stay organized and submit everything on time, especially when we weren’t even aware some tasks had to be done. The same issue happened with quizzez where there were times when we were told about a quiz only on the day itself, without any previous announcement. Because of this, we were forced to cram during the day of the quiz, which affected our performance and preparation. This lack of consistent communication made it stressful and harder to stay on top of my responsibilities.

One of the math topics I struggled with the most in the 3rd term was probability. At first, I thought it would be simple because it seemed like it was just about calculating chances. However, I quickly realized that probability involved a lot of memorization and required understanding many different terms and formulas. I had to remember how and when to apply concepts like permutations, combinations, independent and dependent events, and different rules. It was overwhelming trying to keep all of them in mind during quizzes and seatworks. I also found it confusing to know which formula to use for certain types of questions, especially when the problem seemed to fit more than one category. This made me realize that probability isn’t just about luck or guessing it’s actually full of logic and detailed steps that require careful understanding and review.

My best work in the 3rd term was shown through my performance in quizzes and long tests where I consistently received high grades. I was able to understand the lessons clearly and apply what I learned during assessments. I reviewed the topics in advance, practiced solving problems, and always tried to double-check my answers to avoid careless mistakes. These efforts paid off, especially in topics I was more confident in, like solving equations and inequalities. I can't show any more screenshots of my scores because I either can’t find them anymore or there were simply too many quizzes where I got high scores. This consistency made me proud of my progress and motivated me to continue working hard, even in the more difficult parts of the subject.

Although most of the tasks in math during the 3rd term were individual, there were still moments where collaboration played a part, especially during homework time. While we weren’t officially assigned group work, I often helped my classmates who were struggling by explaining how to solve problems and sharing how I got the answers. I always tried to answer the homework on my own first, making sure my solutions were correct. Then, I’d assist the classmates beside me if they needed help. There were also times when we worked together to figure out answers for very difficult questions, sharing ideas and steps until we found the solution. These moments made math less stressful and showed how teamwork can still happen even in individual tasks.
