Symbolism : In the sky, they are depicted as swimming in opposite directions but tied together with a cord. They symbolize love, emotional depth, spiritual connection, and the balance between opposing forces.

Myth and Story : In ancient Greek mythology, Pisces is associated with the story of the goddess Aphrodite and her son Eros. One day, a monstrous creature named Typhon, who was feared by the gods, attacked Mount Olympus. To escape the terrifying monster, Aphrodite and Eros transformed themselves into fish and jumped into the river. To avoid losing each other in the rushing water, they tied themselves together with a cord. Their clever escape saved them from Typhon's wrath.

To honor this event, the gods placed the two fish in the night sky as the constellation Pisces. The two fish swimming in opposite directions symbolize the duality of human nature—the struggle between reality and dreams, body and spirit. The cord binding them together represents the inseparable bond of love and unity, even in times of chaos or uncertainty.

Pisces is often seen as a sign of compassion, intuition, and deep emotional understanding, reflecting the story's themes of connection and transformation.

1.Symbolism

The sign of Sagittarius is the "bow and arrow." The arrow pointing to the sky represents a constant challenge for goals, dreams, truth, and freedom. Sagittarius is a constellation modeled after the mythical Centaur, who has wild instincts and intellectual inquiry, and therefore wisdom and adventure share.

2. Myth and Story

The myth of Sagittarius tells the story of Queiron in the form of Centaur. Usually known as being tough and violent, Queiron was an exceptionally intelligent, kind, and wise Kentaur. Queiron was taught medicine, music, hunting, and constellations by Apollo, the god of the sun and light, and later became a teacher of heroes. One day, Hercules, one of Queiron's disciples, accidentally shot a poisoned arrow at him while fighting. Queiron is a immortal and cannot die, but he suffered constant pain from the arrow's venom. So Queiron asks Zeus to let him die and gives up his life. The gods said that they raised him to Sagittarius to honor his spirit of sacrifice and good heart.

This symbol embodies the pouring of knowledge, wisdom, and life force into the world. It reflects Aquarius' association with progress, innovation, and humanitarian ideals. The Water Bearer represents a connection to both the spiritual and the intellectual, often seen as a bringer of change and a visionary for the future.

myth and story: The Myth of Ganymede and Aquarius

In Greek mythology, the origin of the Aquarius sign is tied to the story of Ganymede, a beautiful young mortal who caught the eye of Zeus, the king of the gods. Ganymede was so strikingly handsome that Zeus decided to take him to Olympus to serve as the cupbearer to the gods.

Zeus transformed himself into an eagle and flew down to earth, snatching Ganymede and carrying him up to the heavens. Once in Olympus, Ganymede became the one to pour nectar for the gods, the drink of immortality.

In honor of Ganymede’s service, Zeus placed him among the stars, creating the constellation we now know as Aquarius, symbolized by The Water Bearer.

The birthday is November 22, 2012. The zodiac sign is Scorpio. The symbol of Scorpio is the scorpion, which represents intensity, passion, transformation, and mystery. It signifies strength, determination, and the ability to overcome challenges.

According to Greek mythology, the Scorpio constellation is linked to the story of Orion, the great hunter. Orion once boasted that he could kill all the animals on Earth. In response, the Earth goddess Gaia sent a giant scorpion to stop him. The scorpion stung Orion, and both were placed in the sky as constellations — Scorpio and Orion. They are positioned so that when one rises, the other sets, symbolizing their eternal chase.

The Scorpio constellation is often depicted as a scorpion with a curved tail and pincers, with bright stars marking the shape of its body and tail.

1. Symbolsim

Virgo is symbolized by the figure of a Maiden or Virgin, representing purity, humility, and service.

Rather than literal chastity, the Virgin symbolizes spiritual purity, integrity, and dedication to meaningful work. Virgo’s symbol encompasses qualities like discipline, attention to detail, and a desire for self-improvement.

Myth and Story

1. Astraea: The Goddess of Justice

Astraea was the daughter of the Titans Astraeus and Eos. During the Golden Age, she lived among humans, bringing peace and justice. As humanity became more corrupt, Astraea became disillusioned and ascended to the heavens, where she took her place among the stars as the constellation Virgo. Her presence in the night sky was believed to symbolize the longing for a return to a lost age of innocence and virtue.

2. Demeter and Persephone

In another myth, Virgo is associated with Demeter, the goddess of agriculture, and her daughter Persephone. When Persephone was abducted by Hades to the underworld, Demeter's grief caused the earth to become barren. Eventually, Persephone was allowed to return to her mother for part of the year, bringing spring and summer. This myth explains the seasonal cycle and links Virgo to themes of fertility and renewal.

3. Erigone: The Grieving Daughter

Erigone was the daughter of Icarius, a mortal man who introduced the art of winemaking to Athens. After Icarius was killed by his shepherds, Erigone searched for his body and, upon finding it, hanged herself in grief. In some versions of the myth, Erigone was placed among the stars as the constellation Virgo by Dionysus or Zeus, who pitied her misfortune.

1.Symbolism

Taurus (Latin: Taurus) is a zodiac constellation located to the northwest of the constellation Orion. It depicts the front half of a bull, with its horns pointed toward Orion from the right.

In East Asian constellations, it corresponds to parts of the White Tiger's asterisms, specifically Pilsu and Myosu.

It is said that the first early evening of the year begins with the appearance of Taurus in the sky

2.Myth and Story

The recognition of the shape of Taurus dates back to ancient times. Caution is necessary when attempting to associate prehistoric phenomena with the symbols of ancient cultures. Since prehistoric people did not leave written records of their lives, the significance of the animals they depicted—such as bulls, horses, and deer—can only be measured by analyzing the context and evidence left by other artifacts.

Nevertheless, Michael Rappenglück of the University of Munich believes that Taurus is represented in the bull paintings of the Lascaux Caves in France.
These paintings, dating to approximately 15,000–13,000 BCE, were created long before the invention of writing. Some remain skeptical, noting that only a single image among the many has been linked to a constellation.

In ancient Babylon, Taurus was called Shũr.
In Greek mythology, Zeus transformed into a white bull to abduct the Phoenician princess Europa.

That fish is depicted as Pisces. This young man pouring the jug is Ganymede, a handsome Trojan prince who became a hero. The story in Greek mythology goes that Ganymede was herding his sheep when Zeus himself came down in the form of an eagle. Zeus was very impressed by the strength and wisdom of the young prince. Zeus was so impressed he took Ganymede to Mount Olympus. Once they got there Ganymede was instantly made the cup bearer of the gods. Ganymede's father Tros, (King Of Troy), was obviously not happy that Zeus took Ganymede from him. But Zeus made up for it with a present. After a while, Zeus had had enough of Ganymede, so Zeus put him him in the stars. The constellation tells of the story of the cup bearer of the gods. That is my Zodiac Sign.

Birthday: 9th of October

Zodiac: Libra

The constellation Libra was once considered to be a part of Scorpius portraying the claws of the scorpion, but it is most commonly said to be a scale representing balance and harmony. The Latin name Libra means “the balance”, this is why people who are born into the zodiac Libra or 22nd of September to 23rd of October, are said to have good balance and harmony. In Roman mythology, Libra is linked to Lustitia, the goddess of justice and fairness. Shown blindfolded and holding scales and a sword. Lustitia personified impartial judgement and the rule of law. The scales of Libra became a symbol of equity and the balanced administration of justice in Roman society

My birthday: 2013, 24th of march.

My star sign: Aries.

CONSTELLATION: The constellation of Aries consists of 4 formally named stars. Hamal, Sheratan, Mesarphim, and 41 Arietis. Aries, being a constellation of the zodiac, is visible in New Zealand's night sky from September through February, appearing between the constellations of Pisces and Taurus.

MYTH: In Greek mythology, Aries tells the story of Phrixus, Helle, and their cruel stepmother. Phrixus and Helle, children of King Athamas, and cloud nymph Nephele, were targeted by their stepmother, Ino, who sought for them to be sacrificed. Hermes, who was acting on the orders of his Father, Zeus, sent the golden ram to rescue them. During the flight, Helle fell off the ram, and sadly drowned. That part of the sea is named the Hellespont in her honor. Phrixus Made it back to Colchis safely, Sacrificing the ram under the name of Zeus, Zeus placing the ram among the stars to become the constellation Aries.

PERSONALITY:

Aries being the first sign of the zodiac, Aries born people typically have personality traits of being dynamic, passionate, and courageous.

An explanation for why different parts of the world see different star constellations is that the earth is spherical in shape and tilted. It depends what vantage point you can see from. Some constellations can be seen by both hemispheres and others can only be seen at certain times in the year.

I got a Capricorn. Capricorns are between the 22nd of December until the 19th of January. Capricorns are one of the three land animals ( Virgo and Taurus ). The ruler of the star cluster Capricorn is Saturn. If you are a Capricorn like me you have the qualities of being Responsible, disciplined, self controlled and have good manners. Sadly the weaknesses of a Capricorn is a Know-it-all, unforgiving, condescending and always expecting the worse. People who are Capricorns find Family, traditions, music and understated statues. Capricorns represent time and responsibility. They have great self control and are great at leading the way. They are great at making logical plan and managing people. Since Capricorns are a land animal so if you are a Capricorn you are great at using the materials that the land gives us. Although going into relationships they can be a bit of a control freak. This is just a quick summary of Capricorns.
