The relationship between Romeo and Juliet affects a majority of the characters in the play. This happens because of the willingness the two characters have on to get married so quickly, yet coming from opposite families. For example, Friar Lawrence has to marry the two without the proper consent of their parents. Another example is that Juliet refuses to marry Paris which causes her father, mother, and Nurse to become outraged. Juliet's family is then affected by Juliet's "death" when she drank the vile. These examples can show that the relationship the two characters share overall impacts the other characters.

One major plot point occurs just before Tybalt dies. Tybalt is all "fiery" and Romeo is very "chill" about all of it, and basically tries to make Tybalt a part of his friend group. Romeo's typical response would have likely been along the lines of "sure I'd love to kill you, and be rid of another Capulet." Instead of being violent, Romeo is very friendly to the Capulet, because his wife is one of them, even though Tybalt doesn't assume anything.

For example, Friar was not allowed to marry Romeo and Juliet without their parent's consent and he went through with it anyway because he thought it would end the family feud. The relationship had Friar break the rules in Verona. Another example is Juliet and she is lying to her parents and disobeying them because of the relationship.

Friar Lawrence is forced to go against one of his most important principles in order to marry them. By having the married, he ends up going against the wishes of their parents, which is strictly against his religious beliefs.

Then, a second time, he allows Juliet to go against the wishes of her parents by providing her with the items necessary to fake her own death. Friar is clearly changed on some level as he, multiple times, ends up breaking some of his most important beliefs.
