Task based syllabus is explained by Long and Crookes (1992) as utilizing activities to provide students with language examples. Learners process all the information received for input cognitively. The students are involved in the process of understanding and producing of the language, making TBS a communicative approach. The activity always zooms in on doing something instead of saying something. Then, the activity is examined for the target language: reading information about the school, formulating questions to get more information, booking an appointment for an interview. These activities are examined so all the different areas like structure, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and culture can be categorized. A teaching and learning program should contain all of these areas.
