When going over Module 3 I found this article and thought of management and diversity. The article hits good points when it comes to diversity in the work place. Diversity has to do with all races, ethnicities, religions, social classes, abilities, and sexual orientations. The focus in the article is dealing with Kolin Kaepernicks stand and applying that to the workplace.

Module 1 stood out to me because it reflected on management skills, the process, and choosing a career in management. But mostly because it talked about the issues that women face in the business industry and the fact that they may have more skills but the morale is not there for women like it is for men. However the future is proving change towards the equality towards women with empowered positions in the workplace.

When researching I found that a few companies that give back are Comcast, Men's Wearhouse, and McDonalds. The Ronald McDonald house gives to children and their families who need to be close to hospitals for their care. They provide a place to stay, food, and transportation back and forth. To find out more about the Ronald McDonald house you can visit their website and learn how you can also give back to the program helping ill children and their families with every day needs as they receive the treatment they need.

Have you ever considered what goes into managing a multinational company? It seems like there would be a lot of hoops to jump through when crossing the borders and dealing with different cultures and introducing something new. Module 4 showed me how this process takes place and how you would manage something that has to face so many different changes from where it started. One of the biggest issues faced is controlling the purchasing costs. When you think about going to a different market you have to consider the currency changes, the supply and demand, and the culture that the product is being introduced to. The article provided below gave some insight into the problems that are faced and how to better deal with them.

I wondered how it has changed over the years and Stanford did the research. This article helped me understand more of how this is happening now as opposed to how it was when it first started in the business world. Sometimes things evolve so rapidly that you never get to fully understand how they work but now collaborative philanthropy is a new effort and is helping make a bigger difference for the world markets.
