Climate change is the defining issue of our age. Based on the scientific evidence we can recognise that our global climate is rapidly warming and becoming increasingly unstable due to human interferences. The Paris agreement commits all countries to holding the global temperature rise to well below 2 degrees Celsius. 

The climate action 2016 multi- stake holder summit will serve to strengthen the multi -stake holder approach to climate implementation. This summit tries to make this action effective and sustainable and provide a launching pad for climate implementation. It will include around 700 participants by invitation and 7 organisations have come together to co-host the summit. More than 165 countries are expected to sign for the summit. The session will be joined by the world wide environment protection committees. Our understanding of climate change is rapidly evolving from the world’s biggest problem to world’s biggest opportunity.

We further recognise that rapidly escalating global warming and its consequent climate destabilization is the greatest active threat to the security of all nations. If we do not change before globing warming tipping points are crossed, this destabilization of our climate will continue to cause ever increasing suffering. But don’t worry, it’s not the end of the story, it’s the beginning. But that’s not the end of the story; it’s the beginning.

It's our prime opportunity to take a closer look at the serious environmental issues that we're facing.Ignorance may be bliss, but it's getting increasingly difficult to ignore the damage we've done to the environment . Man has been considered as the most dangerous being on the planet , however due to the continuous efforts all over the world man is learning to live in harmony with the other species on the planet .

Some of the factor contributing to the depletion of environment are deforestation , pollution , population , over exploitation of natural resources .Deforestation on a large scale results in soil erosion ,drought etc...It also results in the decrease in a natural fighter of global warming.Pollution comes in many forms: air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution , soil pollution .The improper dispersal of waste results in reduction of soil fertility .Looking at the bigger picture, government oversight and sloppy industrial practices on the part of big companies has also exacerbated our pollution problem. 

Some of the ways on which we can reduce endangerment of environment are :

The first thing we can all do to reduce the amount of pollution in our streets, air and water is to make a mental change.

 1.Recycling of papers and afforestation on  a large scale .

2.Protecting the wildlife and biodiversity .

3.Increasing the usage of public transport .

Let's pledge to take a step forward and make the Earth a better place to live .

It is a threat to the whole world, nay, to the very existence and survival of all living things. 

We need to remember that all that we do will return like a boomerang and will hit us square in the face! If we mend our ways now, we might stand a chance of dodging the attack.
