We can define Innovative pedagogy as the processes of innovative education/teaching or the study of pioneering methods of teaching along with an exploration of how the education process is impacted by innovations.
At the beginning of this module, Teacher generally talked about the topic of innovation for us and focused on main themes of the module and 21^st century skills.

On 4-Jun-2023: which is the first lecture, in that lecture Mr. Miran focused on some interesting points and also share many knowledge.

First, the teacher asked us What does ‘Pedagogy mean’? This question was discussed in groups then we have learned that there are different definitions for pedagogy, the most common of which are: 

·      Most commonly understood as the approach of teaching

·       Pedagogy, taken as an academic discipline

·       the study of how knowledge and skills are exchanged in an educational context

·       It considers the interactions that take place during learning

Also, we have learned this model works on three main topics including teaching methods, assessment tools and learning environment.
Also a differentiation between knowledge and skills has been discussed, Knowledge is information that is learned by sensory input, including reading, watching, listening, touching, and other activities. But when we talk about skills, we mean the ability to apply knowledge to use in specific situations.

 and the teacher asked us a question ‘what are the skills we need to learn? except our discipline’. Every group discussed this question based on their expertise.

My group and I believed that the best skills we need to learn are these (computer and IT, communication, language, creative skills).

At the end of the discussion, the Teacher focused On the impacts of three types of skills for learning, which is the following:

1. Learning Skills (Critical Thinking, creativity, Collaboration, communication)

2. Literacy Skills (Information literacy, media literacy, Technology literacy)

3. Life Skills (Flexibility, Leadership, Initiative, Productivity, Social skills)

The important thing is to learn how to use these skills in teaching methods.

In another subject, we were expert in different teaching methods. For example, at imperial college London, hologram technique was used as a teaching method. But I did not understand this method so it was not interesting to me.  Or Chinese school uses facial recognition to monitor student attention in class. The system works by identifying different facial expressions from the students, and that information is then fed into a computer which assesses if they are enjoying lessons or if their minds are wandering. In my opinion, it is not a good method if it is used as an assessment. But using this method is good to get feedback from students, to help them when you know a student has a strange face in class.

some of the benefits of using key elements are:

 1. I have learned the content of each material to be 
    compatible with the teaching method. 

 2. Environment, age, time and course have an effect on 
     choosing teaching methods.

 3.  We need to change the teaching methods by using 
     different tools and methods.

In my understandings of these learning Methods, some benefits have been cleared up for me. If it was used correctly it would benefit students continuously.

What I noted from these methods is that they emphasize on students working in groups, which has a direct influence in making sure students learn better. I think in my understanding I can use two or three of these methods combined while teaching to give maximum benefits.  

In another part, this method ‘Fish- bowl learning’ was applied in class. The teacher suggested a topic for the discussion entitled ‘‘creativity in teaching’’ and these questions have been discussed during the session ‘What does mean of creative teaching and creative learning’ ‘Why is creative teaching important?’.

First, the class was divided in two groups, the first group is inner circle and other groups is outer circle or audience also moderator was management in the class.  We had 6 students seated inside the circle actively participate by asking questions and sharing their opinions, while those standing outside listen carefully to the ideas presented.

At the end of the discussion, in my understanding, ‘when the teacher gave the students an assignment’ then the students should be independent in thinking also the teacher guide the students. 

Finally, Mr. miran shared 150 methods with us and asked to prepare a seminar about one of these methods for 13-Jun-2023. Me and my group decided to prepare a seminar entitled “class discussion conducted by teacher”.

We are Group 4 so our title is (“class discussion method of teaching”), we focused on the importance of class discussion method and explained all information that related to this topic,

Personally, I had learned huge amount of knowledge and opinion. Also I noticed a point, most of methods focused on collaboration and teamwork. As a result, I satisfied that teamwork and collaboration have direct impact on success of each learning methods. Based on my understanding the lecturer can use different kinds of these teaching methods and sometime for better outcome you can merge two or three of these methods to deliver your message.

Based on my understanding, one of the goals of assessment is that it should help students learn. Another goal, it seeks to enable the instructors to determine how much the learners have understood what the teacher has taught in the class and how much they can apply the knowledge of what has been taught in the class as well.

Later we learned about many tools of assessment that we can use during classes based on our fields of expertise. some tools are used to assessment of knowledge include (Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), Short Answer Questions (Fill-in-the-blank), Single Essay Questions, Modified Essay Questions (Multiple), …etc.). Another tools such as (Case studies (real life case), Project Based Learning (PBL), Field Trips, … etc.) are used to assessment of skill.

If we are to serve our students well, our teaching and assessment strategies need to change, too. This is why in my opinion we have to change of assessment so that we can evaluate students fairly. Some of these changes are:

As well as in-class activities which helps the students enjoy the lessons better as well as becoming better learners.

In another part the teacher focused on an assessment tool: rubric. The rubric is an excellent tool for teachers that facilitates student evaluation and scoring of subjects. It ensures fair grading and provides clear guidance on how to assess students and assign marks. In summary, the rubric is a valuable aid for teachers in conducting evaluations and scoring. 

As a result, also we conclude that both physical and electronic environment are two important components to create an effective learning environment and increases students' attention and focus. they can also help students to feel more comfortable with their teacher.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that the learning methods we acquired help increase student thought processes because the students become the focal point. I also think each of the Assessment tools, teaching method) if we as teachers implement them properly we can further assist in developing the educational system. We can help students assess their strengths and skills, learn more, and become educated so that they can serve their communities.
