Example: In the US, there is a legislative branch that has the power to make laws. There is the Executive branch that can approve or disapprove of the law. Finally, there is the Judicial Branch, which can say if the law is unconstitutional. But, the legislative branch can impeach an executive branch official and they choose who is in the Judicial branch.

The executive branch nominates Judges while Legislature approves of them. But, the Judicial branch can say any law or executive order is unconstitutional.

The president can veto bills the Legislature makes, but the Legislative branch can override the veto.
