Before you attempt any essay question, study every question and choose wisely. You dont have the time to rewrite another one should you run out of ideas. Most of you have not attemepted writing any descriptive essay during lesson. So, if you feel not competent enough in doin so, avoid it. Read through the descriptive essay I have written for you and modify it to become yours.

 

HIT the Intro 

·       H - hook (begin with a hook

·       I - introduce the hook

·       T - thesis statement 

o   It must be a statement on its own

o   Formula for a good thesis statement

§  Claim + 3 points to be discussed or argued on

§  Claim  - means the topic you are discussing on

§  Eg – Fear is good to us because A, B and C

§  Fear is good  = claim

·       Body Paragraphs using PEEL

o   Include your Topic Sentence
