  • On "Day 1" of implementation, what should teachers do when a student brings a backpack to class? Who do they call?  Where will those backpacks be stored? How will they be labeled? Are those subject to search? How will they be returned at the end of the day? What if a student claims that something was taken from their backpack?

  • There will be a period of "limit-testing" by students (and some adults) to see if we really mean what we say.  How are we going to support each other through the initial rough stage of implementation?  How will we know when the limit-testing is over and we are dealing with students who truly are resistant to the new procedure?
