Jade garments were used as funerary garments for the emperors of the Han dynasty in China.  In order to make their corpses immortal, they used expensive jade garments, but when they died all that was really left was their tattered flesh, and all that remained for posterity to see was the jade clothes they wore and their inner desires.

The mottled feel of the bubble paper print subtly destroys the underlying lace form, and the beautiful bubble-like desire and fragility is what I wanted to convey.

I started by making wooden frame and then stretched the stretch fabric to the maximum and fixed it to the frame.After the glue had dried and the stretch fabric was removed, I found that the part of the glued fabric remained the same, but the rest of the fabric shrank back to its original size, which created an odd twist.
I felt that this twist in the fabric was exactly what I was looking for. So I experimented more with different line patterns, different fabric glues, different fabric glue dilution ratios and different stretch fabrics.

During the Nuo opera performance, the people seem to change into a different state. The beads flying from their bodies, the cloth floating up and the bulging costumes seem to form a huge protective shield that protects them.
