I am 26 years old, I am an Art teacher, I am an artist and photographer outside of being a teacher! I currently teach at two schools, so I teach over 400 kids a week. I teach from pre-k-8th at my one school and teach k through 8 at my other school. As I finish my certification and Masters program, I would love to get into a High School or even be a college professor and teach Art there. I graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a BA. I was a Art Major, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I am adopted from Mexico. I have a brother who is also adopted. I am an animal lover, I hope to have a farm maybe one day. I currently have two toy poodles who are like my children, they dress up for every occasion and they are spoiled rotten. I love being active, I love being outside in the nature and enjoying the sounds of the birds and everything around me ( I sound like Pocahontas ). When I am not teaching during the summer, I am working at the Shore in Avalon ( Hoys 5& 10 ) you know where to find me and I live there all summer too. The picture of the Fox is my photograph I took when I spotted this beautiful fox and her kits. Why? Because I myself is an Artist and I know how difficult it is to be an Artist. It is not easy being an Artist, my students have such little faith in themselves and it breaks my heart. I always tell my students that you have to push yourselves and BELIEVE in yourselves. Being positive helps the brain and being negative neglects the brain from letting their little minds push forward. Teaching my students new skills and seeing the process is such an amazing experience.! The final results of their pieces, their faces are filled with such light. I love seeing my students be so impressed with their full art piece at the end of it all. I always ask them, HOW DO YOU FEEL? If you could change something what would it be? Are you impressed?
