The pact also contained a secret agreement in which the Soviets and Germans agreed how they would later divide up Eastern Europe. Czechoslovakia was also controlled by Hitler and that brought anger to some countries but also made Germany more aggressive</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> In 1931, Japan invades Manchuria then in 1937 invades the rest of China with thousands being killed and soon fighting across the Pacific. This moment of horror was called the Rape of Nanking. The Bataan Death march happened where Japanese soldiers forced great destruction on prisoners.  Japanese forces continued to invade as much as land they could. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first significant battle was when Germany was first stopped at Battle of Britain. As well, the United States had been victorious over Japan in Battle of the Midway. This victory had been a victory, becoming a turning point in the war of the Pacific. American forces fought at the Battle of the Bulge winning against the Germans. Germany invades the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union defeats the Germans at the Battle of Stalingrad. This marked a turning point for war in Eastern Europe. The Pacific Theater dealt with US loosing Philippines, Japanese move toward Australia, first stopping at battle of Coral Sea(airplane battle), and battle of Midway which was another sea/air battle. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The allied powers had decided to make an effort in defeating Germany. The US wanted to bomb Germany and send war materials to Russia. Germany wanted to build up its military and continue to invade as much as possible. The Japanese seemed to want to do the same and expand their military to invade more lands. One significant major military move was when the US dropped the atomic bomb on the Japanese. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Holocaust was the death of 6 million Jews and the actions of Germany trying to get rid of a race. Germany would throw the Jews in Ghettos, where they got a limited amount of food.  When the Jews weren't dying fast enough. Hitler took the ''Final Solution'' , the Jews were put in camps and were killed in a camp where poison gas was leaked through the showers and killed all the Jews inside. Nuremberg laws were used so no German would be involved with any Jew. Kristallnacht was the night where any store owned by a Jew was graffitied with the star of David.</div>]]></description>

This surrender came 3 months after the surrender of the Axis Powers to the Allied Powers. V-J day was celebrated in August 1945, WWII was officially over and America had now become the strongest power in the world at this time. </div>]]></description>
