As well, the United States had been victorious over Japan in Battle of the Midway. This victory had been a victory, becoming a turning point in the war of the Pacific. American forces fought at the Battle of the Bulge winning against the Germans. Germany invades the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union defeats the Germans at the Battle of Stalingrad. This marked a turning point for war in Eastern Europe. This was when armed forces of the Japanese Empire surrendered to the Allied Powers.
