*The Human Knot- Students form a tight circle and put their hands in the center. Students grab another hand and create a "knot" they must think and communicate to undo the knot one move at a time.
*Four Corners -Each corner is assigned a statement, such as Strongly Agree, Somewhat Agree, Somewhat Disagree, Strongly Disagree. Then read out statements and have students self-select which corner best describes their opinion on the topic. Students then turn and talk with members in the same corner about what they have in common or share out why they identify with that statement.
*Saving Sam- Students work together to save Sam the worm (gummy worm) from the top of a mountain (cup) with a life ring (gummy life saver) and two paperclips.
*Zoom-Each group has to piece together a narrative from a set of the images that are handed out to them. The group must put the images in sequence. This team building game is a great way to instill problem-solving skills and teamwork.

Some still have trouble with number recognition as well as pattern recognition.
*Might be better to use fewer than 100 numbers for lower grades and make the pattern more obvious.
* Younger students (second grade and below) might be more likely to become frustrated and discouraged.

* The Marshmallow and Toothpick challenge - Students are divided into groups of equal numbers. Pass out an equal number of marshmallows and wooden toothpicks to each group. The groups then have to create the tallest, largest, or most creative structure in a set amount of time, each member taking turns doing the actual building.
* Hot Lava - Divide students into equal groups. Each group gets a hula hoop, jump rope, chair, and a piece of paper. The groups then have to try and get from the starting line to the finish line without touching the ground, they can only touch the objects they were given. The groups must move together, if they leave anyone behind, step on the ground (the “hot lava”), or someone goes without their group, then the whole group has to start over.
