         <description><![CDATA[<p>I typically teach our Introduction to Circuit Analysis course (ENGR 17), and sometimes our Network Analysis course (EEE 117).&nbsp;These two courses are considered the foundation of our program.&nbsp;Students enrolled in those courses are either native to Sac State, or might have transferred from another institution, such as a community college.&nbsp;Students who are new transfers to Sac State need a bit of welcoming and help getting familiar with the resources, as well as the practices of this new environment.&nbsp;Most students will, after taking these two courses, decide what concentration path to choose, or even whether they should migrate to CpE or continue with the EEE program.&nbsp;My advising interests are in helping students during those early stages in our program.&nbsp;I hope to help them develop good learning habits, plan their time and schedule, and get familiar with our faculty and our curriculum plans - considering that many might be working - and understand how these basic engineering, math and physic concepts will scaffold their engineering knowledge and eventually their careers.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>My academic background encompasses both Semiconductor Physics and Electrical Engineering. I typically teach Robotics (EEE187) Lecture or Lab, Machine Vision (EEE178) and Senior Projects. Prior to joining CSUS faculty I've had many years of experience in Integrated Circuits Design, Fabrication, Test and Yield Enhancement. I am very interested in helping students to make career choices that align closely with their individual personalities, technical interests. and life priorities. Career choices shouldn't just be about the money.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>My experience combines both embedded systems and wearable technologies. As a faculty member teaching courses like EEE/CpE 64, ENGR 50, ENGR 17, EEE 180, and EEE 122/245, I know how important my role is in helping students understand both basic and advanced topics in Electrical and Computer Engineering. When advising students, I will focus on helping them match their studies with their career goals, showing how these courses will fit together to build a strong set of technical skills. I will encourage students to start working on practical projects early, as the skills gained in advanced courses are important for solving real-world engineering problems.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I am currently a professor in at Sac State and a senior engineer in the power industry working at Turlock Irrigation District (TID). My focus as a professor is to teach students fundamental power theory and industry relavent topics that will make you thrive as a future electrical engineer focusing in the power area. Some topics and areas I cover are, power systems, power protection, substation design, reneawble energy systems, power communications and automation, and smart grid technologes. I am happy to help students navigate through the BSEE curriculum at Sac State, help find summer internships, pass the fundamentals engineering exam, and find a full time position in the power industry. All these steps are critical to your success and I am here to help you choose the ideal path to success. The power industry is booming and hurting for new engineers.          <description><![CDATA[<p>My teaching focuses on microelectronics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, with an emphasis on the design of analog, mixed-signal, and radio frequency integrated circuits. I teach courses EEE 108, EEE 230, EEE 232, and EEE 235. Additionally, my research centers on developing medical devices and implantable chips for the diagnosis and treatment of human neurophysiological disorders at the transistor level, utilizing modern technology nodes.</p><p>Advising students to pursue their dream professional careers is a major component of my vision and plan as a faculty member. I am dedicated to guiding students in the right direction, helping them develop the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fields. Through personalized mentorship and comprehensive coursework, I aim to equip students with a strong foundation in microelectronics and inspire them to innovate in the rapidly evolving landscape of integrated circuits and intelligent chips.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><br></p><p>I feel that my life at our university has been a journey of lifelong learning. As a junior faculty, I spent long hours in the lab helping students with soldering and troubleshooting. Over time, as technology evolved, traditional soldering became less practical for instruction. Later, during my senior&nbsp;faculty&nbsp;years, the shift to online instruction during COVID-19 pushed me to adapt in ways I had not anticipated. Although I was initially hesitant, I focused on developing online lectures and interactive tools that gave students opportunities to practice with instant feedback. I have taught a variety of course over the years, and I currently teach EEE/CPE64, ENGR17, and EEE180 at Sacramento State University.</p>]]></description>

Before joining academia, I spent several years in the power industry, and I bring those real-world experiences into my teaching and mentoring. I enjoy advising both undergraduate and graduate students on their career paths and involving them in research—particularly in today’s evolving power landscape shaped by renewable generation.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I view modern power systems as cyber-physical networks where devices, users, and control systems must interact effectively to ensure performance, stability, reliability, and security. In my courses, I emphasize these interactions and connect classroom learning to real-world examples.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>My current research and teaching interests include microgrids; inverter-based resources (IBRs); the impacts of renewable generation on grid control, stability, and protection; power system modeling and simulation; and real-time experimentation using HIL (hardware-in-the-loop, integrating real controllers/devices with real-time simulators) and PHIL (power-hardware-in-the-loop, exchanging actual power with grid-emulated systems).</p>]]></description>
