David was one of my students at West Windsor Plainsboro South. He was a wonderful young man who was funny, smart, and dedicated to helping others. He passed away on 9/11 shortly after entering work as a consultant at Deloitte. He was 24 years old at the time of his attack and is remembered and loved by many.

These are all the people who risked their life’s to save others which is very memorable to all who saw this attack. It fascinates me that how others came together as a community and to work together to get out of the horrific events that occurred. May everyone who had passed in 9/11 rest in greatness.

She was a American legal assistant whom worked for Bank of America at its branch at the World Trade Center north tower and survived. died on august 24, 2015 around 14 years latter after 9/11.

Viraat Penumathsa, The Blue Wall

The Blue Wall was a piece by the artist Spencer Finch titled, “Trying to Remember the Color of the Sky on That September Morning”, and it’s made up of 2,983 individual watercolor tiles, each one representing a victim of the 9/11 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. In the center is another artwork by the artist Tom Joyce, letters fashioned from World Trade Center steel that read, “No Day Shall Erase You From the Memory Of Time.” The different shades of blue for the tiles also remind us of the individuality of each person memorialized. While it’s the 9/11 Memorial’s mission to commemorate their deaths, it’s also to honor how they lived. Their passions, their trials, their relationships, how they came to be who they were.

A huge repository located behind the Blue Wall where 1,000 body remains are located. These remains are studied by scientists to try and find DNA, in hopes of giving the family peace of mind. This repository is not a public place however, family members of lost ones who were never found are allowed to visit.

The yellow woman, Marcy Borders, was a 9/11 survivor who unfortunately died in 2015 to stomach cancer at the age of 42. She had dies because the dust she was covered in was toxic from all the different aspects of the metals, and walls, and jet fuel. Her and many others had gotten cancer over time from all these toxins entering their body from all that time ago.

The collapse of the World Trade Center towers on 9/11 was caused by a combination of damage from the airplane impacts, the stripping of fireproofing insulation, and the sustained, jetfuelfed office fires that followed.

This sequence of events, corroborated by extensive investigation, explains why the buildings eventually failed.

This triggered a progressive collapse, in which the failures of the upper floors cascaded downward, destroying the structure below.

Rick Rescorla is a Vietnam war hero who worked on the 44th floor of the south tower. When Rick saw the smoke coming from the north tower through his window he immediately know that something was wrong. When someone announced on the PA system to stay still and to continue working, Rick knew better. He immediately started ushering people down the stairs and helping people to safety. He continued even after a plane hit his own tower. He called his wife saying, “Stop crying, I have to get these people out safely. If anything were to happen to me please know that I’ve never been happier. You made my life.” After helping evacuate hundreds of people he went back into the building to make sure that everyone was safe. Unfortunately Rick was last seen on the 10th floor, going up just as the south tower was collapsing. People only found out about his acts. 6 weeks after 9/11.

Rescue dogs became depressed and showed signs of stress after the 9/11 attacks because they were trained to find survivors but mostly encountered deceased victims. Because of this, their handlers hid themselves in the dibree so the dogs could find them which restored their sense of purpose and helped them continue working effectively.

Dominick Pezzulo, who died while saving a fellow officer.After a brief overlook of the common area the floor shook as the South Tower collapsed just 56 minutes after being struck by United Airlines Flight 175. With only ten seconds defining the collapse from 110 floors to Ground Zero, the men dashed for the elevator shaft. Only Pezzulo, McLoughlin and Jimeno would survive the initial hit. As he struggled to lift debris from Officer Jimeno, the North Tower collapsed, causing more rubble, concrete, steel and ash to fall on the already existing pile of rubble formed by the collapse of the South Tower. Pezzulo was pinned,^[2] and in an effort to alert rescuers to their whereabouts, he fired a single shot into the air before dying.

Wellles crowther was a well known hero when the twin towers were attacked. Welles was a 24 year old former Boston lacrosse payer who worked on the 104th floor of the south tower and worked for a trading center. He used his red bandana to filter the dust and smoke from the plan crash. Welles sacrificed his life by running back into the burring buildings to guide others to safety and saved 18 strangers lives.

Welles CROWTHER is known as the man with the red bandanna. He was a true hero who saved many people on 9/11. While most people were scared and frightened, Welles stepped up and rescued many people. He wore a red bandanna that covered his nose, and he spoke in a calm voice while other people were screaming and crying. He guided people to a stairway and led them to safety. Welles made three trips, saving many people until the building collapsed on him.

Genelle was working for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in the World Trade Center. When the towers were struck, she was in the South Tower and was trapped under tons of debris. For 27 hours, she lay under that rubble, invisible, unheard, but still breathing, still fighting. Finally, rescuers reached her. From her memoir Angel in the Rubble and her interviews later, it’s clear those 27 hours changed everything what she saw, what she lost, what she hoped for.

One of the phone calls at 9:58 (CeeCee Lyles) According to notes from the FBI agents who interviewed Lorne her husband on September 12, 2001, CeeCee said ‘‘Babe, my plane is being hijacked. My plane is being hijacked. Babe, they are forcing their way into the cockpit. They forced their way into the cockpit. Babe, I called to tell you I love you, tell the kids that I love them.
