         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 546 BC a noble by the name of Peisistratus came overthrew the aristocrats and became the new ruler of Greece as a tyrant ruler which meant he ruled by force which was a good thing in Greece. Peisistratus brought peace and prosperity to Greece, he then began new policies to unify the city, he made new festivals, temples etc. But when he died his son came to power and he wasn't as strong a leader as his father which meant the aristocrats payed another city-state to attack Athens which brought the aristocrats back to power.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In around 500 BC, an aristocratic leader named Cleisthenes came to power but although he was a member of one of the most powerful families he believed aristocrats shouldn't rule Athens so he called upon the people and overthrew the aristocratic government. While under the rule of Cleisthenes Athens created the first democratic government.</div>]]></description>

He led the government from 460 BC to his death in 429 BC.          <description><![CDATA[<div>With the new democratic government laws couldn't be made without the kings approval, when the Athenian people had assembly's to make new laws they had to be cautions as not to upset the king. The Athenian people were not happy but they were afraid of the Macedonians powerful army. Before long, the Athenians lost their limited democracy. In the 320's BC a new king took over Greece and ended Athenian democracy forever.</div>]]></description>
