Similarly in Chasing Lincoln's Killer, Booth ran away to avoid punishment for assassinating President Lincoln. After running away, Coriolanus became paranoid about Lucy Gray using leaving to collect plants as an excuse to leave him and tell others that he was part of the reason why his friend was hung. He had an internal battle of contemplating if he should track her down or if he should ignore those thoughts due to him actually caring about her. Ultimately, he decided to hunt her down and his impulsive thoughts took over. However, he is not able to find her, and he is glad that she is gone forever so she can not tell others.
