They also allow teachers to be able to write on the board and drop it to individual devices so that students can see what is being presented on their individual device. A VR headset would allow students to immerse themselves in the topic being discussed. Imagine talking about a place like the Sistine Chapel. Sure there are plenty of pictures in textbooks and images found online, but again, they seem so far away in 2d. A VR headset would allow a student to be wielded away into the Sistine Chapel and look around in 3d format.
